I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Emily Borjon as a candidate for your team’s opening. Here’s why, in a few paragraphs:
First of all, Emily brings an energetic, can-do attitude to the team, jokes included, creating a positive and supportive culture. In the face of aggressive deadlines and tough, sometimes uncharted technical and creative challenges, this upbeat attitude helped everyone stay relaxed and focused. She shows initiative and care for the vision and feel of the project as a whole, beyond the scope of whatever she is directly contributing to.
Emily’s animations add a sense of character, charm, and humor to our project’s quadrupedal creature, a crucial aspect of the draw of our game and the first thing that our players notice and gush about. Over her time with us she contributed many types of animations from long, detailed, expressive sequences to short cycles brimming with personality, and everything in between. She is communicative about the status of her work, and enthusiastic to accept feedback and iterate on her work as needed.
Not only does Emily show talent in her animation itself, but she goes above and beyond in bringing these animations to life in-engine. Soon after joining the team she was working in Unity and source control with the rest of our team, and was self-sufficient from the first new keyframes to recording the creature animating with her fresh work. She was indispensable in providing testing effort and feedback to myself and our animation lead in the development of our custom animation system and workflows, later becoming a resource to which others would go to with questions on those same systems. She would enthusiastically collaborate with other animators, technical artists, and engineers to make sure her animations not only retained their character in-game but fit the creative design and technical requirements of their respective features, showing mindfulness for the priorities of other disciplines.
In her time on our project, Emily naturally became someone that others of many disciplines would look to for support, advice, humor, and, of course, to get a task done with care and gusto. Any team or project would be lucky to have her.
Best,

It is my great pleasure to recommend Emily Borjon to your company.
Emily was my student at Animschool for two terms. During that time, I saw her extraordinary improvement as a student starting off in my animation basics class to a fully qualified animator ready to tackle the industry.
She was able to interpret the notes I gave her and execute it in the most aesthetically pleasing way, which I believe is essential for a professional animator. In addition to being a really good animator she was a delight to work with and has a very positive attitude and good work ethic.
I am confident she will make an excellent addition to your company. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

I was lucky enough to come along Emily as she began to develop her love and passion for animation! She came to me with very little knowledge of animation but full of excitement, passion and drive that she needed to grow into the extremely talented animator she is today! She showed up each week striving to be better, a joy to take notes and develop her shots and the drive needed to attack the computer for another week of animation! I'm so thrilled to see how much she has grown in such little time! Any team would be lucky to have her apart of their team!
